Halah made grossed-out faces and shook her head like she was taking a shot of vodka when she got her first taste of veggies. Her second veggie was squash. She hated it so much she actually cried! She tried carrots third, but although they didn't seem to taste bad to her, she had thrush when she tried them so I think they hurt her mouth.

Holds two objects at the same time From 6 months Passes object from one hand to another From 7 months Takes a few steps with hands held From 7 months Halah started "walking" with support for her upper body at 6 months, and can take a few steps with her hands held at 7 months. Rocks on all fours 5/3 Halah started rocking while her Grandma P. was visiting from Michigan! Crawls From 7 months Halah only crawls backward as of 5/8. She started crawling forward on 5/19. Pulls up to standing From 5/16/03 Halah uses her activity table to help her get to a standing position. Most of the time she makes it to kneeling, not all the way to standing. First Tooth 5/19/03 Halah's first tooth was her bottom left. Bottom right is following closely! Moves from lying to sitting From 5/19/03 Halah can move from lying to sitting very well as of 5/25. Click here for the video. Babbles From 8 months Halah never really babbled like most babies. She has always babbled sentences, versus one sound over and over again. Babbles with more than one syllable From 8 months Halah started really babbling right after she mastered crawling Second Tooth 6/9/03 Halah's bottom right tooth finally came in! First word 6/14/03 Halah's first word was "da-da." She started saying it the day before Father's Day! Moves around holding furniture From 8 1/2 months Third Tooth 6/20/03 Halah's top left tooth next to the front came in before the front ones! Throws objects From 9 months Halah just started playing the throw my toys to the floor so mom will pick them up game. She thinks it's hilarious. Waves goodbye From 6/29/03 Halah waved goodbye to Jeff and Sarah on 6/29. She had been waving to herself since that Friday, but actually waved to someone else for the first time then! Fourth Tooth 7/1/03 Halah got her 4th tooth today. It's the top right next to the front. She looks like a vampire with fangs! See Halah's fangs. Claps From 7/20/03 Halah clapped for the first time at Grandma and Grandpa Z's house Crawls up the stairs From 8/19/03 Halah followed her dad up the stairs and didn't slip even once! (Of course Mom was right behind her the whole time!) Fifth Tooth 8/24/03 Halah is finally getting her top front teeth! She won't look like a vampire anymore! Her top right front came in today. Sixth Tooth 9/16/03 Halah's top left front tooth finally broke through today. First steps 9/22/03 Halah has been taking one or two steps since the beginning of August, but as of September 22, she is actually walking between furniture and taking up to 5 steps at a time completely unassisted! First sentence 10/11/03 Halah used her first sentence today. We were playing on the floor and Cassie was on the chair behind me. Suddenly Halah looked up at me and asked, "Where's Zah-zee (Cassie)?" Her dad and I were shocked! Runs from 14 months Halah looks so funny when she runs. I call it a skedattle! Seventh Tooth 12/1/03 Halah's top right molar came in today. Eighth Tooth 12/25/03 Halah's top left molar came in today. Walks backward from 15 months Halah loves to walk backward now. It is so funny to see! Drinks from straw 1/2/04 Halah drank from a straw while we were having lunch with Erin today. She chewed on it at first, but started sucking, and was shocked when the cold water came into her mouth. She continued to be shocked each time she got a sip! Ninth Tooth 1/9/04 Halah got her 9th tooth today. This one is the bottom right, next to the front. Pees on the potty 1/30/04 Halah peed on the potty for the first time today! Tenth tooth 3/2/04 Halah got her bottom right molar in today. Poops on the potty 3/29/04 Halah pooped on the potty for the first time today! Eleventh tooth 4/4/04 Halah got her bottom left tooth next to the front today. Twelfth tooth 4/7/04 Halah got her bottom left molar today. Blows nose 5/04 Halah learned to blow her nose this month! No more aspirator. Thirteenth tooth 5/19/04 Halah got her top right eye tooth today. Fourteenth tooth 6/9/04 Halah got her top left eye tooth today. Fifteenth tooth 7/1/04 Halah got her bottom left eye tooth today. Jumps 7/4/04 Halah jumped and got both feet off the floor for the first time today! Sixteenth tooth 7/5/04 Halah got her bottom right eye tooth today.
